The very first thing you should do is just get started.
It seems that before and during the IMAG’s Action Success Summit, no matter what was going on I seem to always come across tips that always ended up with ”just get started”. Hmmmm, mirror-mirror on the wall, “What are you trying to tell me?”…ugh.
Therefore, after the summit I found it logical to think that every one was ready and willing to take action.
As I twittered this morning and followed a couple of links to some great action tips, I came across this article that puts it very simply…
“There is Never a Convenient Time to Start Your Own Business”
by Dan Gazaway
Its a quick read and the article suggest some tips to keeping yourself focused on things right around you with, of course, the stomper “just get started”.
Take a look…http://tinyurl.com/imag-mindset1
Enjoy!

The Action Success Summit was full of action tips and secrets from our speakers.
Expertise reached across all areas of business and their experiences went as far back as 30 years (to the age of typewriters). When I look back at the fond memories of the last 3 weeks of getting up early, details, coffee and late night e-mails, one thought continues to stomp across my mind.
That thought is the need for entrepreneurs to
commit to action and to sustain that action with consistency and frequency that is uncomfortably…comfortable.
The summit covered areas of business from mindset, finances, marketing strategy, business systems to passion driven missions, administrative help, copywriting, writing a short and powerful book, to newsletters and blogging. Since it was sponsored by the IMAG, taking action was, of course, the underlying theme.
Action is the steps you take to turn thoughts into possible results.
Sustained-purposeful action is the one difference that turns a doer into an achiever!
It takes persistence in your beliefs, your thoughts, therefore, your action.
So how can we enhance our ability to sustain any type of action—my conclusion after 10 great hours of listening and interacting with these IMAG* professionals are…
- Identify and solve the “pain” of your customers
- Perfect the two or three marketing mediums you believe will deliver the benefits of your services/products
- Perform those activities that are most fun for you
- Delegate the activities you resist, but must be done
Don’t get me wrong…between these four lines are literally more than 30 “MUST DO” action steps and 50 or so experienced-based tips the speakers have given us. These are just my take-aways that I would like to share with you as I attempt to give you a summary of this action-packed event.
So, with that said, I would like to invite you to listen to the recordings at your leisure…registration will allow you access to the recordings and will continue for another week or so.
I look forward to sharing more tidbits from the Action Success Summit, until then this is Sheila B signing off…Aloha and A hui hou! Until we connect…I wish you all well!
pssss….what color was your typewriter?
